happy end of april

and don't forget may day -- a workers' holiday started in solidarity with american workers assassinated by the police for the crime of organizing a union. this event is marked around the world -- pretty much everywhere except the u.s. and canada. instead we get labour day, the holiday that was instituted to celebrate the de-radicalization of organized labour in north america.

water, frozen and otherwise cold

tumult repainted

friday night below the dominican fortress

rapids upstream from hull

where wolfe island is...

...is near kingston

a little sharpie love of
kevin and peter bowers
rocking out at the island grill
with their band me man jack
and the grimwits and the dirtminers
quite a trick -- five guys making three bands

(there are no werewolves where wolfe island is)

how to repaint a crappy painting, easter edition

here's the first painting from the laundromat, a little before and after (figure it out) to distract you while contemplating the divine mystery of how a rabbit lays eggs. happy easter. don't forget to brush.

thank you kit-wat

bridgeport swallowed me whole, chewed me up and spit me out in hull, quebec. in a very good way. many thanks to everyone who came to the opening and helped make the show such a success. hooray for bridgeport! hooray for art!

these are images from the laundromat, new home of the unionofpainters.
