half a litre of fortified coffee later, this is the view from the foot of perkins street. cold off the press.
followed by the last bridgeport

this was last night meaning this morning. painted in a bus shelter just to get out of the snow.
this was a fine day for a change. tuesday -- up before noon even. cracked this one off at the champlain monument.
that and the last couple underpaintings from the bridgeport series. but the grand hotel is all torn down and the doll's house is no more. stepped in the same river twice.
snowy day bridgeport way
this was monday turning into slush.
this was tonight. plus five degrees and you can stay out forever. got to parliament hill and to the champlain monument. hit and miss. lost the darks in the last one.

this was friday -- saturday by the time i started painting. back to the skateway. finally cracked off a couple good ones. tonight was almost balmy at only 11 below zero. next thing is to paint the bridges.
this was an hour ago. one cold view from the champlain monument. there's a flat top pedestal at the base. that's where i sat to work. sharing the view with nothing but the windchill. feels like minus thirty. eight layers on the top, three everywhere else. i can barely move about but i don't get cold. long live the team!
